Bolstered by the thrilling last over win over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), hosts Mumbai Indians (MI) are ready to lock horns with defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 10 of IPL 2017.
Going into todays match, both sides can boast of a good mix of young blood and seasoned campaigners. While the hosts have the likes of batsman Nitish Rana, Krunal and Hardik Pandya along side Sri Lankan slinger Lasith Malinga; the visitors can be proud of the performances of teenaged Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan and all-rounder Moises Henriques.
Sunrisers have been the best team in the competition so far. Barring Shikhar Dhawan, each of the top 4 players have registered a half-century this season so far and that has meant that the opposition bowlers have chased leather.
In the bowling, the show has been led by Rashid Khan, the 18-year-old leg-spinner from Afghanistan, who has captured the imagination of all. The young man has been well supported by the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ashish Nehra and that has made them a formidable unit.
Their bowling unit could be bolstered further if Mustafizur Rahman returns for todays match.
On the other hand, the Mumbai Indians have had a mixed start to their competition, having lost their opening game despite having put a competitive total on the board, and then coming back to win the second game against the Kolkata Knight Riders at home.
On the batting front, Nitish Rana proved to be the surprise performer for the side, scoring a half-century while Hardik Pandya showed that he could a reliable finisher in the future, guiding his side to a win in the last over of the game.
Rohit will like to get a good score under the belt since he is coming back from injury and got a harsh decision against KKR. With Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah around to bowl into the block-hole, Mumbai’s death bowling looks sorted for now.

Our prediction for the game :
As both teams are coming into the game on the back of victories in their respective previous games. It could be a tussle between two very even teams.
With the form that they are currently in, the Sunrisers Hyderabad look like the favorites to come out trumps in this game.
Our Predicton goes with SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Head to Head:
Overall: Matches – 8, MI Won – 4, SRH Won – 4
At the Wankhede Stadium: Matches – 2, MI Won – 2 SRH Won – 0
In IPL 2016: Matches – 2, MI Won – 0, SRH Won – 2
It is still early days in the tournament, with Mumbai having lost one and winning one while the Hyderabad side seems to have carried on from where they left last season, winning both their matches handsomely.
Mumbai will be hoping for a big win against in-form SRH, so this should be a contest to watch out for.
